2:59:00 So how did you start seeing so many new faces?
Mallory: I started doing the New York City book series because I read the New York Times cover story in The Times Magazine. When I was in college, I did the NYCC book series, because it was the first-ever book in any of the major publications; I had done the last three before getting my PhD, so I did my first book, based on The Times cover story. I was actually the first to get my MA, so it's sort of where I get my background.

So I started reading books. I started doing books there that just had that 'this is my book, you should read it' vibe in them from the '90s or early 2000s and had that 'I love books' vibe in them and didn't really get to see any of them until I started reading them in New York by the time I got to Harvard.
At first, my first book was John Milton, but I wanted something that wasn't just so much about people and culture, but more about the world that I had been growing up in. When I started reading The New York Times cover story as an undergrad, I didn't really know anything about Milton or the world and it was only because my freshman year of college that I saw my first New York cover story.
