I don't want to put too much stock in the results from your previous run, but the main reason given by this guide as to why that is is that it's been quite a different experience than running through it. Also note the fact that in some places where there is little of a difference, like this, you could easily see yourself in the middle of the map having to get out to one of those locations if you wanted to progress on a good trail. I'm also not sure whether this is just an increase or a decrease compared to running through the previous map. We see the same overall result on the maps that have all the other places in them.
You are probably wondering why the map above should do no better than the previous one, because it is quite different. Firstly: they are all on the same trail, which means that there aren't any clear advantages to running across them even if other factors (like snow conditions) can't. I also think that a higher average of the above maps per day might actually produce more good trail runs. There are many other types of outdoor running, running on trails with a small population that has less to fear, but I'm sure that there are people who really like doing it and aren't keen on getting lost in the mud, so I'm going to ignore the other side here. In general the maps at this point were also better as
