There are two ways to enter the countryside at night: at sunset (after sunset comes a huge snowstorm, and can be particularly scary at night) and when the sun is out for the day. Get your water bottle at the river crossing and head southward to the countryside. You may see red or grey lights, or perhaps you can see a forested area.
Head north to the village of Faih-i-Sihye, and then follow the road down overhanging mountains until you come to the main road near Ching-chien. The road takes you to the town of Anh (a small village about a mile from the village of Ahn-i-Sihye) where the town is home to three large fish shops, two of which are open 24/7. Once there you can also go to the village of Be'i (a huge fish shop) and you can check out where they sell fish all season.
